50 Years in the Church of Rome

This is an excellent book, which I am re-reading for about the third time at the moment. If you love autobiographies and have an interest in history of the Catholic Church this will fascinate you. It tells the story of a man with a naturally tender conscience brought about by early exposure to the word of God. Having been brought up in the centre of the matrix of Roman Catholicism he had absolutely no doubts as the truth of the Roman Catholic religion. But by becoming a Priest he was exposed to the moral corruption at the core of his religion! It tells of his long battle with his conscience while the Church was telling him that there was no salvation outside the Church of Rome and his long slow trek towards final redemption. Buy this book! It is wonderful!
