'Sheffey' is not very well known in the UK, but this amateur production made by the Bob Jones University in America, is an intriguing and highly polished attempt to tell the remarkable true story of Robert Sheffey's 19th century conversion and subsequent quest for all things scriptural. Highly recommended.

The Sheffey DVD is tied for my favorite movie of all times. It is the epitome of a person's consecration to the Lord, and it also depicts the transforming power of God when a person yields their life to Him. The film has a strong plot and is exciting throughout. There is no better film to show what can result from a relationship with the Lord!

I saw the premier of this movie back in 1977. It was then, and still remains today, one of my favorite movies ever. You will find yourself laughing at times and crying at others. The quality is much more than amateur! It rivals anything Hollywood has ever produced and by far exceeds any story line.

I watched Sheffey lastnight for the first time and just want to say how fantastic and moving it was. I was crying and laughing at parts in it. Sheffey never stopped trusting in God and great was his reward.

The best movie ever - a must see. Bob Jones University did a great job. I watched the movie 3 times last weekend and checked it out of the Church Library so my cousin could see it. The best part of the movie was when brother Sheffey gave the drunk man, who beat up his wife, a taste of what hell will be like.
