The Newberry Bible features a unique system of symbols and signs that brings the original Hebrew and Greek text to life on every page. In this edition, each page contains just one column of text and is surrounded by a generous wide margin for notes (Top=18mm, Bottom=22mm, Inner Margin=32mm, Outer Margin=30mm). Two ribbon markers, gold edges, maps and charts, bound in quality black calfskin semi-yapp leather and beautifully boxed. Overall size = 195mm x 245mm x 41mm. The 37gsm paper used in this Bible was specially manufactured in the Czech Republic. It has been coated to prevent bleed through when writing notes (We recommend Pilot G-Tec Pens for writing Bible Notes). The Newberry Wide Margin has been out of print for many years.

The day after I trusted the Lord Jesus in 1951, my father took me to the Christian Bookshop and bought me my first "Newberry". This is my 7th (my current is large print Penfold) - but, but, this Wide Margin must be the purchase that cannot be bettered! A must for any Christian student of the Word. Thank you, Penfold. This is one of my favorite Bibles with so much offered before the eye. So many passages come to life as the original language articles, nouns and verbs are pointed out. If you are serious about the Word of God, this is a must have. Penfold's presentation in print and binding are beautifully done for years of use, and the size is fine as a man can still hold it open in his hand. Thank you for putting God's Word in the Newberry edition back into print!

I was really surprised at the quality of the binding, the paper, the layout etc. All the helps in the back (map section) were also a surprise. Very beautiful job with the content by Mr. Newberry, very beautiful job of packaging this great content by Penfold.

Just a great translation. Since 1980 it has been my favorite Bible. I just hope and pray that some day I will see such work translated in to Portuguese. Presently, back to Brazil as a proclaimer of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
